  1. You probably won't believe this, but I absolutely love Kenny G! I even love Art Porter and Grover Washington Jr. Smooth Jazz is so cool. Why would you say that you couldn't believe you said this, when you told me to listen to Kenny G? Are you like my Dad, who believes that Kenny G is the kind of music you would commit suicide to?
  2. So, back to my original question. I'm wondering does anyone have any sound examples that they could post for me, so that I could discover the difference in tone between the Tenor Saxophone, the Alto Saxophone, and the Soprano Saxophone?
  3. So, does anybody have any ideas of where I could find the full-length version of this recording?
  4. I can't remember which President made this quote, but I recently heard the famous quote, "We must either love each other, or we must die!" I know it was made famous by a guy from Texas, who was one of the Presidents. Someone told me it was Franklin Roosevelt. It might've even been Theodore, as there were two Roosevelts that were presidents. But all I know is, it was a guy with a Southern Accent. And by the way, the Brotherly Love in Philadelphia isn't all the way gone, as there are some nice parts of town, which I have been to.
  5. I don't know if any of you know this, but I am someone who is very fond of the sounds of different music instruments. There is something that has had me confused for what seems like years. What is the difference in tone between the Tenor Saxophone and the Soprano Saxophone? Also, the alto saxophone, which one is it's tone closer to? The Tenor Sax, or the Soprano Sax? Which one does Kenny G usually play, since I've been stumped on that one as well.
  6. I actually have tried that, but I still don't know where to turn!
  7. So, I'm wondering if Stephanie's cassette version was the USA release, a European import, or a Japanese import. I'm confused!
  8. Will the "Browse By Category" feature be available soon? When is the homepage going to be redesigned? Will this be part of your next update?
  9. Have you found anything further on this CD Single? Is there a chance it's still available? Or has it long since been out-of-print?
  10. I don't know him personally, but I'd sure love to meet him someday!
  11. Speaking of Songfacts Categories, you know how there's categories of, "Songs That Won Grammies", and "Songs That Won Oscars"? I believe that there should also be categories of, "Songs That were Grammy Nominees", and "Songs That Were Oscar Nominees". That would make a lot of sense, since not only were there songs that won Grammies and songs that won Oscars, but there were also songs that received nominations for those awards as well.
  12. Stuff like that happens every day. In fact, if I was there to witness it, you know what I would do? I would be standing by Joaquin's side, putting my arms around him, softly trying to reassure him that everything's all right. Also, probably not everybody knows this, but when a 911 call is made, it becomes public records!
  13. I recently heard the full length version of William Shatner's 911 call, when he found his wife at the bottom of their swimming pool. I actually found it quite interesting. So, I'm surprised that any of you would think I was going out of my mind just because I want to hear the one from Joaquin Phoenix.
  14. Hello there, fellow Songfacts members, I know this may sound strange to you, but I'm looking for a very specific audio recording. Do you remember River Phoenix? Well anyway, I remember hearing the news about his death in 1993, I was 9 years old at the time. However, I've never heard the full version of the 911 call that was made by his Brother Joaquin. I've only heard parts of it. One part I heard was in a news story. And if I'm not mistaken, another part I heard was on an episode of VH1's "I Love The Nineties". Whether it was Part 1 or Part 2, I'm not sure, but I do know that it was the 1993 episode. Where can I find an audio recording of the 911 call in its entirety? I recently went to http://www.franksreelreviews.com/shorttakes/phoenix.htm, but it still doesn't seem like it would be the full version. I remember that there was more to that call than what I just heard. I believe where I heard another part of Joaquin's 911 call was on E's "101 Most Shocking Moments in Entertainment". I believe the part I heard was the one where Joaquin was literally in tears when he said, "You must get here, please, because he's dying, please!". I've tried searching on Google, and some other search engines, but haven't had any luck so far. Could it be that this is a rarity that is so hard to find?
  15. Is Laosy a fancy name for the natives and residents of Laos?
  16. So, in other words, you're telling me that the captain or the flight attendant might have been a Native or Resident of Laos?
  17. Well, my sister is definitely a young woman, but I'm actually referring to the person who originally gave Lehigh the "Lei" pronunciation. I meant to say that this person, who was either the captain or one of the flight attendants on the plane, is obviously not a native or a resident of the state of Pennsylvania.
  18. No, actually, my sister and I are both pure Californians. We were both born in Long Beach, California. So, what makes you think my sister's a Wahine?
  19. What's a wahine? Is it a native of somewhere in Hawaii?
