yeah he does sound like he's on the verge of insanity, but "the best of syd barrett/ wouldn't you miss me" is a great compolation album. the riffs are great, and it's catchy...i also happen to be a hugeeee fan of floyd and i am impressive by barrett, i think his stuff is pretty damn good...different, and probably an aquired taste, but still damn good

anybody enjoy his solo albums? --Madcaps Laughs?

i like the roger waters era, but as for solo stuff, syd is just plain orgasmic

simply put: orgasmic it was like our generation's woodstock one hundred thousand dirty hippies packed like sardines...you could have definetly gotten a contact high the music was amazing...the aura these guys had and everybody that was there was just gorgeous....the best show i've ever been to, hands down
