  1. I have three Smashmouth CDs, but I´ve been told there are four. First and second one I´m sure I have; last one I got had the Neil Diamond song "You are my Number One". Is there any records left? Besides, does anybody know if Neil diamond actually sung "You are my #1" or he just wrote it? By the way, I think the guy who sings it in the smashmouth album is not a member of the band... when I make sure,I´ll post it in its place of Q&A
  2. Yes, you´re right, I´m growing old...!
  3. Try www.lyricsworld.com. It´s a bit confusing but maybe you´re wiser than I am.
  4. Plenty of them in any Rolling Stones album of late 60s-first 70´s : Sticky Fingers, Exile on main street, Goat´s Head Soup. Also the Mark-Almond version of "NY state of mind"
  5. Anyway, the Cavern was owned by Pete´s mother and there´s where the Beatles became local heroes. I guess that Parlophone just didn´t need the Cavern anymore after the big discovery...
  6. Which are the albums that sold more copies until nowadays? Once it was Thriller, Bridge over troubled water, dark side of the moon or Eagles Greatest hits. Does anybody have any first-hand information about it?
  7. "Smile" by Trini Lopez (no kidding!) "We are the champions"?
  8. Cloud Nine is a song of the Temptations, late sixties I believe. Maybe Bob Marley´s is another? George Harrisson also has a song called "Cloud Nine"...
  9. "Everybody´s talking" (Nilsson) from Midnight Cowboy
  10. "California Dreaming" has a flute solo. You can find more flute in Focus LP "Hocus Pocus" (and maybe others)
  11. You´re great, I´ ve been looking for that version since 1973, in America, in Europe...wherever. Thanks a big lot!
  12. Yes, might be that, like they were revolving our minds with that new sound after Rubber Soul, which is also great & avant-garde but remains mostly pop.
  13. Why Beatles album "Revolver" is called so? I heard something about they were suposed to make a third movie (after HD´sN & Help) that had something to do with it and that finally wans´t done.
  14. you´re great, thanks!
  15. Does anybody know what´s the name of this lullaby? It says something like "The baby is in a craddle, the craddle is on a branch, the branch will break, the cradlle will fall, etc." Thanks a lot!
  16. I see, the songs are performed live but not all at the Fillmore, or maybe at the Fillmore but on different nights... Thank you!
  17. Sure, I used to sing it with my school friends and I left that school & country in 1973. I heard the tarantino-Suede version and it´s more rough, it´s neither David Hasselhoff nor Vonda Sheppard... well, I guess there must be plenty of versions that didn´t get into the charts, thanks anyway...
  18. I read that the album CHEAP THRILLS (Janis Joplin and Bigbrother &the Holding Co) is not really a live album. anybody knows something about this?
  19. It´s Aphrodites Child (band of Demis Roussos before going solo) and it must be from the 60s or 70s. It goes "The leading is white, the second is red, the.....is?...etc.". Clash and Metallica have also a song called "Four Horsemen" but it´s three different songs. (In fact, Aphrodite´s Child´s is "THE four horsemen") Hope I´m right.
  20. In the 60s I had a first copy of Sgt Peppers bought in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I don´t remember no dog (well, I was a child, but I remember) Then I bought another copy in France, in the 70s, no dog... third copy seen a couple of years later in New York, no dog... Fourth vinyl bought in Spain, toujours no dog... Besides, I never heard about that, but if you have some more info, it´s interesting. And it´s sure a record that sold a lot!
  21. Could it be Jonathan King? It must be previous to 1974.
  22. I first heard " Hooked on a Feeling" in 1971 or 1973, it wasn´t BJThomas, from 1969, nor Blue Suede (of course, it´s from 1974). It had the "hooka-chooga-ooka" background... I guess it must be some british version or anything which didn´t make the top in USA. Anybody knows anything about it, please?
  23. I read an interview of Pattie Boyd some time ago, she said that Eric Clapton was so happy because he recently had a son (Connor, who died at 5) with an italian actress and he wanted to share his joy with Patty. He couldn´t even realize that for her it was a painfull thing, an extra-marital child... they were still married and supposed to be happy together... Patty Boyd Harrison Clapton etc says that "it´s a miracle we both survived after all that heroin, alcohol, cheating, etc."
