  1. You never heard Velvet Underground? You´re lucky, you´ve got a great band to discover!!! "Pale blue eyes" is so beautifull... You´ll find plenty of info in Google and etc. "There she goes again" is one of my favourites songs. Get yourself a compilation. "Venus in furs" is very beautifull too, and "Sunday Morning", "I´ll be your mirror"...
  2. Nirvana was one the best of their time.
  3. "As tears go by" made me sad on those rainy winter monday school days...
  4. Yesterday I was listening to a song on the radio and I really loved the voice of that unknown woman. I asked my husband who she might be, and he said "oh, come on, it´s Annie Lennox, you should know!". I kept on thinking exactly what you say, Jr, what a great voice. I´d love to sing like that!!
  5. Rock will never die... not even with kryptonite!
  6. oh, come on, sweetCD, John Lennon IS god...and PaulMcCartney only makes muzak since the split... and money...

Please accept my apology, But love is blind, And I was to blind to see. Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes. You tell me mistakes Are part of being young But that don't right The wrong that's been done. Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes. I'm sorry, so sorry Please accept my apology But love was blind, And I was too blind to see. (Sorry)
  8. Well, that´s allright, besides michelle has been asking for her frog for many days now. She deserves a special title... but please, where do you get those funny moving emoticons or whatever they call it? MC___ already showed me a site, but I have trouble in posting them anywhere, here, mails, etc...Thank you!
  9. I heard about that movie you´re talking about... just "heard about"... I wonder if I could try to get a copy through the web (I mean, buy it...). I´m not a fan of the new-romantic thing but I was workaholic by the time and had a lot to do with it (I insist, Beatles always in my walkman...) My husband had a pop band by then and it would be funny for him. XXX, I must confess I didn´t like "Liquid Sky" when I saw it in 83 or 84... maybe I was deceived somehow, as everybody was telling me to go and see "the best film you´ve ever seen".
  10. I want to congratulate BluesBoy and PinkFloyd for their excellent search (and fin) in such an interresting question!!
  11. ...it´s the record company, TP!
  12. That reminds me of a song that goes "Thank you Jesus...Thank you Lord... etc... get a girl with faraway eyes". It´s very funny, "Faraway eyes", Rolling Stones, Some Girls Album (miamisammy knows)
  13. Oh, I never thought somebody would mention her on this thread... She´s a must!
  14. We like your style, miami...
  15. A: We have someone that answers our mail at dversion@citenet.net Try this one... did you look in the info given with the CD?
  16. Yesterday night it was raining... I was alone, my husband was working all night, I was looking through the window and said to myself "·$%&@#¢??, it´s raining buckets..." That reminds of a song of Bob Dylan, "Buckets of rain"... simple...
  17. I think the price for a record of TM is really high... I don´t know what they do now, but they are very European, I can understand they are some bizarre band for the States... same as Blancmange...or even Cabaret Voltaire, Durruti Column... By that time I ended listening to Phillip Glass or back to my oldies...
  18. Are these the lyrics you want? Give It To Me lyrics When I look into your eyes I can see the fire of desire reflect to me Give me your love Give it to me Give it to me Holding me the way you do I just can't deny that you feel the same way too Give me your love Give it to me Give it to me Don't you know that I care about you But I just can't wait Give it give it to me When you're lying next to me I just get the urge to consumate extacy Give me your love Give it to me Give it to me Holding me the way you do I just can't deny that you feel the same way too Give me your love Give it to me give it to me Don't you know that I care about you But I just can't wait Give it give it to me Look at me while I tell you 'bout love Don't you know that you should never doubt love With you near I feel you warm inside When it comes to the real thing there's no compromise Don't you know that I care about you But I just can't wait Don't you know that I care about you So why should we hesitate After all we're in love with each other So why should we wait Give it give it to me
  19. I guess it was Buzzcocks... but I´ll check.
  20. Follow Jr´s advice, he knows a lot. If you want a brief rockandroll history, here I go: Elvis invented rockand roll in 55, then the Beatles rocked the world, then the Rolling Stones. Then came the Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and in America the Beach Boys and Simon & Garf., then Mama´s & Pappas, West Coast music, Jimi, Janis... In the 70s went the symphonic King Crimson, Yes, ELP, etc... At the end, came the punk with Blondie, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Clash,etc... while country and rock (Bob Seger, Neil Young, Eagles) rocked on. Oooof...... 80s: very trendy and modern, techno and rap. 90s, everything allowed. Well, you´d better follow Jr´s advice...and keep on reading this post.
  21. Thank you, Diggs and Sue, that´s exactly what I was looking for!!! I´ll try to get that record again.
  22. Jr, you´re really the best in your style!!! By the way, forgive my having forgotten you in the Awards, I realised after having read the post already posted...You were among my Best poster... (yes, my best poster, that one of the Rolling Stones live in Hyde Park I had on my wall 30 years ago!!! )
  23. Michelle, you still have no frog?? If you didn`´t find the right prince to kiss, make a post to Carl and Sara asking for your songfacter rights...!
  24. I saw him twice; first time it was boring, he looked upset, just like if he was there just waiting to finish the concert, he sang all in a hurry, he didn´t say a word or introduce a song... not a single smile. Second time he was nicer but he changed the songs, I could hardly recognize them. My brother saw him once and told me he was funny, brilliant, happy, and even said something like "Wow, what a great audience, this must be a dream!!" So... it´s up to his mood!
  25. I´m trying to remember a band or a record released in 83 or 82, produced or/and featuring Malcom McLaren, with drawings of Keith Harring... it´s rap, one of the song goes "Three buffalo gals go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside and go.... your partner", with many scratching and all that stuff... does anybody know what I´m talking about? thanks!
