this sounds stupid, but Sympathy For The Devil by guns and roses... it covers SO many historical events (like the russian revoloution).
If not Ohio by CSNY.

Hmm, I see where you're coming from but the album is primarily focusing on drugs... how could it relate to drugs? :S

Hey all!
Just out of curiousity, what do you think "the noose" is about by "A Perfect Circle"?
The lyrics are:
So glad to see you well
Overcome and completely silent now
With heavens help you cast your demons out
And not to pull your halo down
Around your neck and tug you off your cloud
But I'm more then just a little curious
How you're planning to go about making your amends
To the dead
To the dead
Recall the deeds as if they're all
Someone else's atrocious stories
Now you stand reborn before us all
So glad to see you well
And not to pull your halo down
Around your neck and tug you to the ground
But I'm more then just a little curious
How you're planning to go about making your amends
To the dead
To the dead
With your halo slipping down
Your halo slipping
Your halo slipping down
Your halo slipping down
But I'm more then just a little curious
How you're planning to go about making your
More then just a little curious
How you're planning to go about making your
More then just a little curious
How you're planning to go about making your amends
Your halo slipping down
Your halo slipping down
To choke you now
Thanks for the input!

Hey fellas,
My favourite song by A Perfect Circle (and one of my favourite songs ever) is Passive from their album eMOTIVe and I was just curious as to what YOUR interpretation of the lyrics for it are?
Here they are:
Dead as dead can be, my doctor tells me
But I just can?t believe him, never the optimistic one
I?m sure of your ability to become my perfect enemy
Wake up and face me, don?t play dead cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say, You disappoint me,
Maybe you?re better off this way
Leaning over you here, cold and catatonic
I catch a brief reflection of what you could and might have been
It's your right and your ability
To become?my perfect enemy?
Wake up and face me, don?t play dead cause maybe
Someday I?ll walk away and say, You disappoint me,
Maybe you?re better off this way
Maybe you?re better off this way
Maybe you?re better off this way
Maybe you?re better off this way
You?re better of this?you?re better off this?
Maybe you?re better off!
Wake up and face me, don?t play dead cause maybe
Someday I?ll walk away and say, You [bleep] disappoint me!
Maybe you?re better off this way
Go ahead and play dead
I know that you can hear this
Go ahead and play dead
Why can't you turn and face me?
Why can't you turn and face me?
Why can't you turn and face me?
Why can't you turn and face me?
You [bleep] disappoint me!

What is, in your oppinion, the coolest cover art for a single or album that you've ever seen?

That's bloody scary because if all it takes is for martial law to be declared then....
Woah...
What does it mean when it says
"Should have been done long ago"?

So much feedback!
I was primarily after songs that were political, you know?
Songs that really caused or encouraged movements against things like Vietnam and the government?
Thanks alot so far!
Keep those suggestions comming!

G'day,
I just got given a history assignment and I need to research some of the most influential songs of the 60's and 70's, I was just wondering what everyone's choices would be?
Cheers!

Hey Guys,
I'm currently working on a video for diabetes awareness and I was looking for something in the same vain as Gary Jules' cover of Mad World (originally by Tears for Fears). Does anyone have any suggestions for the music? I'm looking for something with the same almost sombre but innocent type of feel to it..
Thanks a lot guys!
