Ceilidh from Victoria, Canada wins this month's clean and comfortable Songfacts T-Shirt.

Here are the answers:
  • What band has 3 songs that are currently being used as themes for US TV shows?
    - The Who
"Baba O'Riley" - CSI New York
"Won't Get Fooled Again" - CSI Miami
"Who Are You?" - CSI Original Flavor

  • What famous band has a guitarist who performs in a schoolboy uniform?
    - AC/DC

  • What popular 2001 song was named after something you might see on a Chinese menu?
    - Chop Suey by System Of A Down

  • What was the first song with all Spanish lyrics to hit #1 in the US?
    - "La Bamba" by Los Lobos

  • What Motown song was inspired by one of Jackie Gleason's sayings?
    - "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You" by Marvin Gaye

  • What European hit was re-released 15 years later when it was used in a car commercial?
    - Da Da Da by Trio

  • What popular movie from the '90s shares the title with a popular song from the '70s?
    - American Pie
Dazed And Confused is also a good answer, but not what we were looking for.

  • What US #1 hit has a kind of bird in the title?
    - "When Doves Cry" by Prince
I liked this question. Great guesses were "Mockingbird" and "Rockin' Robin," but those never hit #1.
  • Who is the only artist to have 2 #1 singles released after he/she died?
    - Notorious B.I.G.
"Hypnotize" and "Mo Money, Mo Problems"

  • What Bob Dylan song has been covered by Eric Clapton, Neil Young, U2, The Dave Matthews Band and The Grateful Dead.
    - "All Along The Watchtower"

Thanks to everyone who took the quiz, and be sure to take the new one
here.

Carl, as to question 8, would my answer of "Fly, robin fly" by the Silver Convention also be correct? It was #1 in the US on Christmas Day in 1975.

Also, would "Boogie Nights" by Heatwave (January 1977) and Boogie Nights the movie (1997) be considered correct for question 7?

They were good guesses, Angel, but disco songs don't count as music.

I had Fly Robin Fly, as well. Even though I forgot to enter. I had 9 right. The car commercial threw me off, because I was looking for songs from 15 years ago from this year. :p

Fly Robin Fly would also be correct, and you're probably right about Boogie Nights as well. We put questions like that in there from time to time where there might be more than one right answer. I should have posted those in the answers.

I just want to say that I took the new quiz and I got 9 out of the 10 right off the top of my head. I won't win because someone always gets all of them right, but I didn't want to cheat and look up the answer.

Hurray for me! ::

"What U2 song mentions a US radio station in the lyrics?"

Leave it to Bono to screw up my victory.

How could that not be counted as right? It fits all of the criteria.

Dazed And Confused is a Rock classic, but it was not a "hit." We have to make judgment calls on these a lot. Watch "Jeopardy" sometime, and you'll see how often they have to go to judges and figure out if an answer they didn't have in mind is right. Coming up with good questions is not easy.
