That's too bad
You'll have to wait a few weeks until it's release.
You feel alright when you hear that music ring.

Ummm - I was gonna say because it's the cool people's job (i.e. the ones who keep up with the new releases) but I guess I could be a cool person...

I know there's still about 6 weeks left in 2009, but the station wanted our top albums of the year now, so here's mine:
1. Middle Cyclone - Neko Case
2. Two Suns - Bat For Lashes
3. Horehound - The Dead Weather
4. The First Days of Spring - Noah and the Whale
5. The Hazards of Love - The Decemberists
6. Working On A Dream - Bruce Springsteen
7. Living Thing - Peter Bjorn and John
8. Crack the Skye - Mastodon
9. Troubadour - K'Naan
10. Far - Regina Spektor
Let the arguing begin.

In the year 2009, I got lost in much older albums. My view on this year's music is too incomplete to make a top ten, I hardly know any albums of your list

I'm always stuck in the past, I couldn't compile a fair list of ten. Of the albums I did hear, the ones I liked the most are:
Seek Magic - Memory Tapes
Exploding Head - A Place To Bury Strangers
Swoon - Silversun Pickups
XX - XX (still to hear all of it, but what I heard is good)
Wild Beasts - Two Dancers (I don't know why I like it so much, but it's strangely magnetic ya know?)
A Brief History of Love - The Big Pink (look it has Velvet, it could go #1 on the strength of that track alone)
Crystal Stilts
Vivian Girls cos I SHOULD
The Horrors cos I SHOULD
And there's a ton of stuff I still have to get around to listening to I need to stop procrastinating.
Also The Stone Roses' self-titled and Spacemen 3's Perfect Prescription if I can choose those

I've been too busy with school lately to listen to very many full albums. So my albums list will likely not be very full until winter break, when I get around to listening to everything that's happened since August. for now though, here's my song list, limited to one song per artist:
1 Passion Pit - Little Secrets
2 Cymbals Eat Guitars - And the Hazy Sea
3 Animal Collective - Bluish
4 Basement Jaxx - Raindrops
5 The Ravishers - Keep You Around
6 Bloody Beetroots - Warp 1.9
7 Dykeritz - Chasing the Wheel Away
8 Duck Sauce - aNYway
9 Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks
10 Neon Indian - Deadbeat Summer

And the award for "Album That Was So Hyped In the Indie Clique That It Became Overrated And As Such Became Underrated But Actually Is Neither Of These Things Because Nobody Outside Of The Indie Clique Has Probably Even Listened To It" goes to...
The Pains of Being Pure At Heart! Congratulations! Seriously though, now that the hype dust has settled, I really do think this band put out an awesome self titled debut. I mean if this song does not make you feel like a character in a John Hughes movie, I don't know what will (actually, you might want to try "Kim and Jesse" by M83 for that)

Love that song.
My, my, my music hits me so hard,
Makes me say, "Oh my Lord,
Thank you for blessing me
With a mind to rhyme and two hype feet."

Gucci Mane is no Andre 3000, but Big Boi is Big Boi, and an awesome song is an awesome song!
