I rented "the Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3" the other night, and started watching it thinking I'd flip back and forth from that to So You Think You Can Dance. It was so good I wound up skipping Dance altogether.
9/10 John Travolta plays a good badass.
I loved it....for the first hour and a half....but the ending was kind of far-fetched, dontcha think?

yeah, the endings of those sorts of movies always are, though. Up until Washington confronted Travolta on the overpass, it was pretty good and credible. I actually turned it off before it was all the way over, because I knew how it would end anyway. Still, all the way up to that, it was good.

Ever seen the original one with Walter Matthau and Jerry Stiller?

I have not... although I was aware this one was a remake. Did Stiller play the bad guy? He's so little! That is a role I could not picture him in...

Haha no, he played Lt. Rico Patrone
However playing one of the hijackers, Mr. Brown is Earl Hindman, better known as Wilson from Home Improvement.
